National Honor Society Inducts New Members
On Tuesday, May 5, the Vera Warfield chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 13 new members. These young people are already hard at work planning service projects and signing up to do service. We would like to congratulate Mahi, Whitney, Michael, Emmy, Elaina, Harper, Keyan, Sawyer, Kacie, Ryan, Jacob, Zaylee, and Andrew on their induction and all their hard work in their classes and community. Mr. Morrissette and NHS Advisor Mrs. Strevig presided over the ceremony, while NHS President Madison Lamarque gave an introductory address. Secretary Madisyn Braley inducted the new members, and seniors Max Grondin, Hallee Albert, Gianna Pizzuto and Atticus Hammill spoke about the four pillars of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. Thank you to all those who came to support our NHS students.
Following the ceremony, junior Hazel Schuft was elected the Service Mentor for the 2026-2027 school year. Hazel has already served as Vice President of NHS, and this year she will take on the additional responsibility of supporting and encouraging her fellow members to complete their 35 hours of service. We look forward to an amazing year with you all.
